KARYUDO LLC (the "Company") establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information and data in the mobile application "PosePause" (the "App").

In short: The App's camera video itself is never transmitted, recorded, or stored outside your device. Only the numerical pose data derived from the video may, in anonymized form, be used to improve the service.

1. Handling of Camera and Pose Data

  1. The App uses camera access to judge your exercise posture.
  2. The video captured by the camera (images and footage showing your face and body) is processed in real time on your device only; it is never transmitted to the Company's or any third party's servers, and it is not recorded or stored. Accordingly, the Company neither obtains nor views your video.
  3. The pose (skeletal landmark) data extracted from the video is numerical information such as coordinates. To improve judgment accuracy and features, the Company may obtain and analyze this numerical information in a form that cannot identify individuals (anonymized/pseudonymized). This numerical information cannot be used to reconstruct the video or your face.
  4. Collection of numerical pose data is limited to the purpose of improving the service and is not used for advertising.

2. Screen Time-Related Information

The App uses iOS Screen Time (Family Controls) or the corresponding app-usage management features on Android to restrict use of the apps you select. The selection of restricted apps and their usage status are managed on your device by Apple's or Google's frameworks, and the Company does not obtain their contents.

6. Data Storage and Security

Important data stored on your device, such as exercise records and economic values (points, time), is protected by encryption (AES-GCM). However, complete security cannot be guaranteed for data storage over the internet or on the device.

7. Data Retention Period

Data stored on your device (exercise records, settings, points, and the like) is retained on the device until you uninstall the App or delete it within the App. Billing information is retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under their respective policies. Anonymized or pseudonymized data the Company collects to improve the service is not retained beyond the period necessary for that purpose.

8. Your Rights

You can delete the data stored on your device by uninstalling the App. You can manage billing information from your Apple ID or Google account settings. If you wish to request disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of information about you, please contact us at the address below.

10. Compliance with Laws of Various Countries and Regions

The Company complies with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). For residents of the European Economic Area (EEA) and similar regions, it respects the rights under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)—such as access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability—to the extent applicable. For residents of California, USA, it respects the rights under the CCPA/CPRA. The Company does not sell your personal information in exchange for monetary consideration.

11. Sharing Information with Apple and Google (Refund Requests)

If you request a refund for a subscription, Apple or Google may ask the Company to provide information about your app usage for the purpose of reviewing the refund. The Company may comply to the extent necessary to determine whether a refund is warranted.

12. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the age set by each country or region). Minors should use the App with the consent of a guardian.
